About Me
Spontaneous traveler. Always looking for a new adventure in a new land with lots of new people to meet! I wait tables at a brewery and teach outdoor education seasonally - birding, foraging, travelling are my side hobbies. I am a 25 year old Michigander.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Vallis Alps, Sylvan Esso, Maggie Rogers, Cold Weather Company, Shakey Graves
Movies:
For some reason, movie titles don't stick to my brain. But I like a lot of my movies. Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. LOTR! (I haven't read them though...) Fight Club (I wrote a paper on it for a "Buddhist Tradition" class...
Books: Jane Eyre, The Thin Executioner, Harry Potter, Foraging Books, Tiny Beautiful Things - anything I can get my hands on! Currently reading Carlos Castenada's "The Active Side of Infinity"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitch-hiked
Picked up hitch-hikers (my fave)
Climbed a couple mountains (smaller but hey, they're still mountains!)
Paid off my car
Learned how to successfully use power tools
Drank a whole six pack of Two-Hearted Ale
Ate poisonous mushrooms and am here to tell you about it
Saw three pileated woodpeckers at the same time
Crossed my eyes once and got them stuck
I mean, how amazing are we talking? Every day something cool happens.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always learning and proceeding with an open-mind. My favorite thing ever is teaching kiddos about the plants in Michigan and getting them stoked about the outdoors. I've worked at a brewery for two years and have some gained collective knowledge about craft brews. I knitted a scarf once... definitely could use more help with that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Philosophy, conversation, books, ideas, fresh air, laughs and whatever comes along.
