We’re Johnny & Clover, a fun couple in our 20s currently living and working in Shanghai.

Johnny is a programmer who spends his days fighting with code — and occasionally winning.
Clover works in legal — so you’ll be staying in safe, responsible hands.

We used to live and study in Los Angeles for 2 years, so we totally get the travel bug, and we are super comfortable with cultural exchanges and English conversations!

And of course, the real star of our home:Budai, our adorable three-colored cat.🐱
Budai means “Little Cloth Bag” in Chinese — she’s soft, chill, and very friendly.

We want to meet interesting people from all over the world, make real friends, and help more people understand the real China — how young people actually live here.

I’m also planning to start a channel about Couchsurfing to share stories and spread this amazing culture. Hosting you will be part of that journey!

兴趣

Before work took over, Clover was totally into sports—an 8-year CrossFit lover who also loved skydiving, bungee jumping, and traveling everywhere. But yeah... work kind of turned me into a low-energy person, so not so much into sports these years 😅 Johnny, He’s all about gaming, gaming, gaming! and board games. He can talk about them for hours!

Movies: Huge fan of Chinese cinema, especially kung fu films like Ip Man.

Music: I’m learning guitar — still a beginner, so be gentle.

We once traveled all the way to Alaska, went deep into the Arctic Circle, and chased the Northern Lights in -40°C weather.
It was freezing, crazy, magical, and 100% worth it.
