About Me

After a few years spent in India, I came back to France in 2015. I have been living in Paris for 3 years. I'm an industrial engineer, working now as a strategy consultant. I couldn't take long holidays this summer so I planned 2 weeks in october.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met so many people from different places during my stays abroad that I want to keep this going on. I'm cycling around Puglia for 10 days stopping by Bari, Matera, Martina Franca, Ostuni and Lecce. I have what's needed to camp, however my legs would be pretty happy with a sofa as well ;)

Interests

- I practice ashtanga yoga, I went to Mysore to spend 2 weeks in an ashram. I can't say I'm a very disciplined yogi but I adapted my practice to my lifestyle...
- ...Because I also like wine and good food :D
- Photography
- Reading. I used to read essays on topics like politics and sociology, but I'm now back to novels :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I guess I'm a bit old-school, but I just love Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler, probably since I'm 8 or 9 y.o. Then I got to know J.J Cale, Clapton...
I'm not a big fan of blockbusters, I'm more into old B&W movies trying to extend my filmography knowledge. Sometimes I'm not sure whether I liked the movie or not, directors try things sometimes I'm telling you...
I really enjoyed Romain Gary's books. I also loved late Philip Roth and Tom Wolfe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went through Ladhak and Kashmir on a Royal Enfield bike, for around 10 days. Landscapes are amazing, so are the roads where a wonderful work is done by the indian army out there.
I did a 2 days session of free-diving in Indonesia. I ended up lasting around 2 minutes at 18 meters deep. And you know what, nothing extraordinary, I'm sure you can reach that too.
