Overview
About Me
My name is Chen Yi-Ting who was born in Taiwan and base in London for working holidays now. I used to be a political journalist for 5 years experience in Taiwan. When I was 30 years old, I decided to quit my job and came to Ireland for changing my routine life.
I'm an easy-going, friendly and open-minded person who like to contact with people.
If you think I look like 25 years old or younger, it's definitely not your fault! Even in Taiwan, I can always pretend that I'm still a college student.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling around the world and I've been to about 20 countries so far. As you know I was a journalist, listen to stories and life experience from different backgrounds is one of my favorites. So I use CS to meet more and more new people.
Interests
One of my hobbies is watching TV series and movies. When I had a day-off, I usually went to cinema for movies that I'm interested in. If talking about the TV series, definitely are "Sense 8", "Black Mirror" and "How to get away with murder" recently.
Besides, I like baking. I can bake brownies, pound cake and lemon tart. Some of my friends have tasted and said I'm good at it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies-
My list of favorite movies always floating. I like movies which could touched me but usually depends on my mood or status at that moment. I like lots of movies, if I need to pick one or two movies, it could be "Singing in the rain" and "Blue Valentine".
Music-
I listen to POP music, one of my favorite singers is Adele, which means I like all her songs.
Books-
My favorite books are "The Catcher In The Rye", "The Kite Runner" and the collections of "Harry Potter".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Company with the president to visit 6 allies of our country.
Quit my job to explore the world.
My backpack was stolen when I visited Cologne, Germany. It was my first time to enter a police office to report a crime. Fortunately, my backpack was thrown on a street and found by a police, of course without cash. I appreciated to the thief a little bit at that moment, cause all my stuff including passport, IDs, credit cards...etc are all in the bag. Even though, I still love Germany.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Mandarin and write some Chinese words to you. Most important thing is telling you what it really means. If you're thinking about having some tattoos in Chinese character, it could avoid some akward situation. Don't trust Google translate easily!!
