About Me
I will be travelling to Kazakhstan with my boyfriend Louis in august! We are both 23 and beyond excited to discover this amazing country and hope to meet some beautiful people. I am currently a student in sustainable territorial development in Europe (Italy, Belgium, and France). I am originally from France (in the south) and studied and lived in Canada. I speak french, english, italian, and some russian. I studied some russian in university which was some years ago but I am currently watching друзья́ to catch up! It was a wonderful experience and I sometimes miss those -30° days (only sometimes!). Louis is also from France and studies commerce and sustainable investment. He lived abroad in Columbia, the Tchek-Republic and Canada and loves hiking, debating politics, and running.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couch surfing because:
- I want to share some time with some nice, interesting, and respectful people and share my interests with them, learn from their culture and lives!
- I only couch-surfed once but it was an incredible human experience. A lovely couple hosted me Moscow and all of my papers and money got stolen. They helped me through this bad experience and I truly believe that without couch surfing I could still be stuck somewhere in Russia! These are moments and people you can never forget.
- Louis and I want to avoid having an overly touristic experience of Kazakhstan and strive to share real moments with real people!
Interests
I really enjoy being in nature! I love mountaineering and all other types of outdoor activities (slackline, swiming, kayak, climbing...). When I am not outside I like to spend time with my family and friends. I like to cook but mostly deserts. I enjoy reading about adventure stories, biographies, and novels. I really love podcasts! Particularly the ones that mix sciences and reflections on life. I also like running but mostly in nature because I find it less boring and stressful that in the city. I love art in all forms: theater, circus... but I have a terrible memory with names and cannot remember movie or show titles most of the time.
