ABOUT ME

Librarian weirdo from New Zealand living in Melbourne. Partial to whiskey nights and good conversation. once wrote an album of songs just about pandas. Into vegetarian food but not a dick about it.

PHILOSOPHY

I will take any chance possible to have a swim (though I'm a very bad swimmer). just like to float on my back a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like John Fante, Cormac McCarthy, Middlesex/The Virgin Suicides, have always read way too many Marvel Comics.

I love disaster films and John Cusack, so 2012 was terrible I know but it was also just about my perfect movie. also love Royal Tenenbaums and anything Wes Anderson does, Adventureland, Punchdrunk Love. Sophia Coppola jams.

favourite music is the Beach Boys, the Magnetic Fields, Cursive, Bright Eyes, Frank Ocean, ROBYN, 50s/60s girl groups and Jonathan Richman, but interested by anything that isn't bbq reggae.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I happened to be on Mount Ruapehu when it erupted, pretty crazy at at the time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some good bands to see in this city and where they play, I know a ton of cheap/good curry places and vegetarian spots, I can recommend my favourite cafes and their respective muffins. I work at the public library so I get asked for help with a lot of travelling-related queries and I'm used to it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

buy drinks/snacks, teach you guitar/ukulele/Photoshop/Premiere Pro, tell you terrible jokes. If you're planning a trip to Melbourne or NZ I can give you a lot of tips.
