Growing up I spent lots of time outdoors, and named certain places in nature 'Paradise'. As time went on, and school became the dominant theme in my life, my connection to the natural world became more distant. After college I traveled west to Washington state and spent some time on a farm, and slowly began to reconnect to nature. Being close to the natural world is very important to me, and gives much joy and peace. I work as a gardener in the warmer months, and paint houses in the winter. I am also a music lover, and play the guitar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to get out and explore new places, and meet new people. My occupation does not afford me the money to travel expensively, so I'd like to try couch-surfing for both economic, and social reasons.

Interests

Music, the outdoors: swimming, hiking, walking. Animals, friends, good tea and conversation, meditation, and last but not least, yoga.
