Bonjour ! Hi! Ohayo Gozaimasu! Konnichiwa ! :-)

I'm Chris, 43 years old.

Fifteen years ago, I settled down in south-western France, near by Atlantic ocean, where I really got closer to nature by learning to surf (I love longboarding) and going hiking in the 'Pyrenees' moutains...

After COVID pandemic, I met my wife with whom we settled to country side in 'Dordogne' department, still in the south-west, 50 minutes from Bordeaux.

Since our arrival, we have been restoring an old farmhouse, favouring natural materials, while working the land according to gentle principles of permaculture and agroecology, over an meadow area.

We also share our lives with 3 dogs and 3 cats.

To put it simply, we aspire to live in harmony with Nature and its biodiversity :-)

I speak intermediate English and I will try to learn basics of Japanese before my arrival... gulp!!! :-p

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

- I will be joining and travelling, in Japan from late April to late May 2026, a friend on his year-long trip around Asia.
