About Me
Hi!
My name is Christian, and I am a 20 years old adventurous and smiling guy from Denmark. My friends describe me as a very positive minded guy, and I see no way not to be.
I love traveling and has recently traveled around the world for four months with my girlfriend, Julia.
I finished high school 1 year ago, and now I am looking forward to my second gap year before I go to university to study medicine.
My upcoming trip to Iran will be my first time visiting Iran, my first time travelling solo and my first time trying Couchsurfing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From traveling around the world I've learned that a country's people leave the most lasting impressions. I believe that the people define a country just as much as the architecture, nature and food. Therefore Couchsurfing seems like the ideal option when traveling to a new country.
Apart from that, I am convinced that locals will always be able to give you better advise than any guidebook could ever offer.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: I listen to music as much as possible. I have a very mixed taste when it comes to music. Just to mention a few of my favorite artists: Anderson .Paak, Sampha, Frank Ocean. Vance Joy, Ben Howard, James Bay, The Rolling Stones.
I would love to teach my host about Danish artists such as Saveus, Scarlet Pleasure and Mads Langer.
MOVIES: I am more into watching series than watching movies, although if I should mention some of my favorite movies, Forest Gump, The Intouchables and Fight Club would definitely be some of my best choices.
My favorite series is The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and How I Met Your Mother.
BOOKS: As I graduated from High School last year, my knowledge of books has mostly been limited to school books.
Though, in my recent gap year, I enjoyed reading
* Khaled Hosseini's "The Kite Runner"
* Journalist and Middle East correspondent Puk Damsgård's "Under a Crying Sun" about the early stages of the war in Syria
* Several books by the Danish Professor of Psychology, Svend Brinkmann
I am trying to read a few books about the world-known Persian Poets before visiting Iran.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled around the world with my girlfriend for four months last year.
If I have to point out one specific highlight on this journey, watching the sunrise while sitting on one of the many temples of Bagan in Myanmar was magical.
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH: I would be honored to teach basic Danish vocabulary so that you're ready for visiting Denmark one day (although I warn you, I am told that it is rather difficult!).
LEARN: I love to learn about different cultures, a country's history and basic vocabulary. I would also love to learn to cook different kinds of local foods, as I am not the greatest cook myself (yet!).
SHARE: I am very happy to share great traveling stories or the Danish way of life.
