Originally from Zurich, Switzerland I now live in the hills of West Virginia just minutes from The Greenbrier Resort. Love living surrounded by nature but on a more or less regular basis the city calls! Travelling is part of my work and hotels are way overrated. Being able to see places through the eyes of a local is just awesome and one of the reasons I love to travel!

I was turned on to Couchsurfing by a AirBnB host and loved the variety of travelers and hosts and the ability to make new friends

Skiing is one of my passions, then again a day at the beach is not bad either :-)

My wife Geraldine and I have raised two wonderful daughters and all the headaches, worries and concerns about them pale in comparison to the wonderful human beings they have turned out to be!

What I Can Share with Hosts

In the years I have been traveling I have stayed in hostels and luxury hotels but nothing beats the personal interaction with a local host. After all we are social creatures and the exchange of ideas and experiences is what makes this world an amazing place
