About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Life is a journey why not start exploring it and make new friends?!
ABOUT ME
I am an easy-going, open-minded and honest person, who is curious about other people and their traditions. I like to talk about this, that and everything in a nice surrounding while sipping a lovely cup of tea and enjoying life by trying to make the best out of every day and situation. Besides that I am an active person, curious about life, love and nature, enjoy solitude as well as company and would love to share the beauty of life with others.
PHILOSOPHY
Life makes sense when we are centered in our own hearts and embrace our own unique journey.

I have stayed with some Couchsurfers, have hosted some as well and enjoyed both. I have also hosted at Hospitality Club for many years.
Interests
I am interested in traveling, reading, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, swimming, being in nature, sports, photography, cooking, learning new things, growing spiritually, meeting people from all over the world and talk about this, that and everything.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to anything as long as I like the song. So, there is a mixture beside Heavy Metal, which is not my type of music at all. Lately I have been listening to some German bands e.g. Revolverheld
Books ..., there are too many, as well as movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are many things that amaze me every day e.g., being on a nice walk with a friend, when it starts to rain and a beautiful rainbow (double rainbow) comes alive or seeing the smile on a student's face when he/she has made progress.
But concerning traveling:
volunteering with the Yukon Quest and being part of that experience,
living in Yellowknife, NT Canada in winter with -40°C and loving it as well as experiencing the Aurora Borealis and Solstice there,
hiking in Marocco and seeing the most beautiful sky covered with endless stars,
helping in a health post in Nepal and connecting with people even though we didn't speak the same language, but found another way to communicate,
putting one foot on the Northern and the other on the Southern hemnisphere in Ecuador, ...
Oh, and hugged a bear, hence the picture. Though hugging a real one, which is one of my dreams, would be a once in a lifetime experience, literally, I guess. So, I went for the next close one to keep me alive. ;-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I think, I can learn from everyone, who crosses my path and I can teach you something as well. What that is, I let you be the judge of that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As I have traveled a lot, I can tell you about it or recommend on places and things to do. I also enjoy cooking with someone, so I can share recipes. There are always book ideas to exchange and if I have finished a book while being at your place and you would like to read it, I can leave it with you. ;-)
