About Me
CURRENT MISSION: Build a career in storytelling ! Especially visual storytelling (photography) and written. I would love to become a documentary photographer. That's why I'm starting a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography at Concordia, this fall.
ABOUT ME: Hello Hello! I'm a more-or-less recent marine biology graduate with a need to move around and explore. Born in Ottawa, I lived 6 years of teenhood and young adulthood in Montreal and three years of University in Halifax, with my last semester done in Rimouski (Quebec). Throughout those years, I've interned in Dominican Republic, travelled through Mexico, planted lots of trees, picked lots of cherries, and questionned life on too many occasions to count. In the meantime, I've learned how to be ultra-resourceful and life-smart, and to be grateful for each and every one of my encounters. I love to get to know other people and see who they really are - everyone has a story to tell, a lesson to teach, and is a marvelously unique person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I like to get to know a place as though I were a local! I also think that one of the best ways to get to know a city is by exploring it on foot, sort of at random, so I will be seen taking off for an hour or two at a time.
When I am stable in one space, roommates permitting, I like to help out travellers to pay forward all the times I received help. I also love to share my love of a city and show newcomers all the "spots", especially the non-conventional ones!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not a huge bookworm, but I like my fair share of books that ask questions and shake up perspectives. I am currently reading "Le Parfum" by Patrick Suskind, and I would say that my favorite book is the Alchemist. As for movies/shows, I would say the same but I would add that I Love my fair share of absurd. Finding Nemo and Pulp Fiction are two of my personal favorites. (and pssst: Im a Rick&Morty fan!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've encountered a bear on a tree planting block one time. The bear was pretty chill, just curious, but I will always remember that moment!
Also - I've survived getting hit with an ax in the head (the blunt side, thankfully). True story.
I feel like I live an adventure everyday to be honest, but I'm not good at giving specific examples.
Teach, Learn, Share
- How to make an amazing crepe. I can also just make a batch for you, and all you have to do is eat! I'm working in a pizzeria right now, so I might be able to suggest you a tasty pizza topping combo :-)
- Basic POI skills
- I'm really into photography, if ever you care for some kind of photoshoot!
What I Can Share with Hosts
- Music. Lots of music.
- Ideas. My contemplative nature brings me to ask questions of all kinds and seek answers to them. No subject is too weird for me... except perhaps discussing how to harm someone... let's not do that okay :-)
- Happiness, sunshine, or just a listening ear.
