About Me

I am a 54 year old woman, married to Greg, a lovely hubby. We have two daughters, Emma 20 and Anna 18. We live in a small town in Normandy by the seaside. I lived abroad for several years and it made me very open minded and curious of new cultures and way of lives. I have tried –and succeeded I think- to pass it on to my daughters who are now travelling the world on their own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about Couchsurfing from my daughter and found the concept very appealing. I find travelling frustrating if I cannot get to meet people from the countries I visit and get a feel of their way of life. My first hosting experience was amazing and I decided to embark on the experience. We are a very welcoming family and will thrive to make your stay with us enjoyable and interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : I have very eclectic tastes, from Ella Fitzgerald, to Bob Dylan, Loreena Mckennitt, Eric Clapton, Depeche Mode, Edith Piaf, Cesaria Evora, Christmas Carols and so many more
Books : mostly the 19th century English classics and historical novels but I’m also partial to a good detective story
My favourite book : The Picture of Dorian Grey

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing I would call amazing. Going to the TT race in the Isle of Man on my motorbike and living for two years on a Scottish island is the closest I can think of

Teach, Learn, Share

We will enjoy giving an insight of our way of life to travelers, sharing our knowledge of the area and our love of food and wine, speaking different languages, and more generally adding the little human touch that makes a travel so much more fulfilling. In return, visitors will bring their culture and differences to us, thus allowing us to travel while staying right at home.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In addition to what has been said above, we can share our free time and cheerfulness and show some French hospitality. Depending on the time the visitors have (and our workload as well as both my husband and I work full time), we could either share a good meal and have a nice chat, or show them around our lovely region and give good traveling advice.

Countries I’ve Visited
