About Me
I'm Chris. I'm a pretty happy person that gets along with most everyone. I took my first solo trip in the summer of 2016 and loved it so much. In the fall of 2019 I will be living in Madrid for the school year as an English assistant in a secondary school. I’m beyond excited for this and am counting the days for this new experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While I was still in high school, I made this account because I really wanted to travel in the summer before I went away to college and get stuck in student debt. I decided to take a 6 week trip to South America and it was the best decision I had ever made. I finally had the freedom to do what ever I wanted on my own and I made a lot of friends through Couchsurfing and in hostels.
Now that I will be staying in a new city long term, I want to use this app to get to know travelers and the people of Spain .
Interests
I used to play sports and I still love having an active lifestyle. I enjoy having a schedule at the gym and running through parks. I want to pick up new hobby’s like a martial art or longboarding etc. I like learning Spanish but I have a pretty limited vocabulary, as of now. I also like listening to music and hanging out with new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music from Hozier, Blink182, Tame impala, Post Malone, J Cole, Rainbow Kitten Surprise (don’t judge, the name throws everyone off), Mac Miller, Glass Animals...
The Harry Potter books are my favorite, The House of Scorpion, The Hobbit, Eragon,.
Tv/movies that I like are: Up, Perks of Being a Wildflower, Naruto, Black Mirror
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing that I have done was doing yoga on the prettiest beach in the world, Ipanema.
I also got to stay in Buenos Aires for a month by Bartending at the hostel I was staying at.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm fluent in English and if any of my hosts wanted to learn more I could help. I'd like to learn to be more conversational at Spanish. By now I can understand Spanish if it’s talked slowly and I can comunícate with simple vocabulary.
I also plan on making trips throughout Spain and countries nearby and would love to split the costs if you wanted to join me on a weekend adventure.
