About Me

I am deeply passionate about learning and helping others, so I think studying medicine was a good choice haha. That's also why I love doing volunteer work, which besides giving another dimension to my profession, represents an extra opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
I love eating, conversing, getting to know new places and people, reading, listening to music, and helping others.

Family, which I don't define only by blood ties, is a cornerstone of my life, and I cherish every moment spent with them. I used to think that was one of the only drawbacks of traveling, spending long periods of time apart; but after multiple wonderful experiences in my trips, I realized it's quite the opposite, I now have family all over the world. Traveling has profoundly shaped my worldview, especially since my first solo adventure to nearly 20 countries across Europe. Since then, I have continued to explore the beauty of Latin America, mostly my home country and its breathtaking beaches, something I've been doing since I was a child.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Everything began when I started researching about travelling around the world and discovered Couchsurfing. At the beginning, it seemed like a way to get a free place to stay, but later on, I realized that Couchsurfing is much more than that. It is a huge opportunity for getting to know new people, cultures, learning from each other's experiences, and more. So I decided to take that enormous chance!
As I traveled around Europe, I got to experience a little bit of it, and it was wonderful. I met and interacted with so many astonishing people and received so much love, kindness, generosity, and help from them that it still amazes me every time I think about it. Therefore, I want to continue building new relationships and giving some of that kindness back to other travelers in a similar situation to the one I was in some time ago.

Interests

Medicine, travelling, learning languages, knowledge in general, exploring new places, meeting people, cooking and almost every aspect of human existence. Lately I have been especially interested in city design, politics, mobility, etc.
I like to party, but usually prefer the not so noisy ones in which you can comfortably talk to other people, and I'm not a good dancer haha.
Also, I don't smoke, but as long as you do it outside of the house, I'm fine with it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled on my own during two months around Europe and I went to 20 countries before my 20th birthday, which is not that much, but I'll try to keep on expanding my knowledge about the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am currently learning german and french, some philosophy and other random topics. Also, I'll be perpetually learning about the human body haha
So I would happily have a conversation about any of those topics or I could teach you some English or Spanish and share insights about Costa Rica and its culture, especially related to beaches.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Engaging conversations, insights into Costa Rican culture, and probably a delicious meal!
Also, I have some experience backpacking in Europe that you may find useful.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Panama, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, United States, Vatican City State
