ABOUT ME

I have lived on the beautiful island of Hawaii, The Big Island, for 19 years. A traveller in my early years, I decided to put some roots down here when I had children and started some permaculture gardens. I love being out in wild nature, hiking in the forest. I am a meditator, and express creatively through movement, writing, clay, and paint. I am a grad student studying Counseling at Prescott College.

PHILOSOPHY

It is my intention to live a guided life, from the heart.

I think the primary paradigm shift that is needed at this time is for people to learn to cooperate and share. When we realize we are all connected, we will do this naturally.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surfed about 7 years ago with a wonderful woman in Colorado. It was an amazing synchronicity, because she was working with some folks to create more awareness about the plight of the honeybee, and I had just given a massage (at the eco-resort where I work) to her friend in that bee endeavor, back in Hawaii, the day before I left. When she started telling me about him, I knew who he was, we had connected about his work. Wild! Have hosted a number of couchsurfers at my home in Hawaii, a few officially and many unofficially!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did a lot of couch surfing in my young adulthood. I lived out of a back pack for some time, stopping in different cool places to work for a while.

兴趣

I am interested in creativity, community, healthy, natural living, shamanism, mysticism, and resonant relationship with the Earth. I love being in the wilderness- probably more than anything else. I love Non Violent Communication as a practice to create world peace. I am inspired by the life and message of Peace Pilgrim who walked for 40 years for peace.

In my work I focus primarily on the resolution of traumatic memory.

I love all kinds of world music, especially middle eastern devotional music. I also love music I can dance fast or slow to, but not techno so much.
I enjoy movies that have a great inspirational message, without too much violence or glamour. A recent favorite is I like true stories.

Raising my two children (ages 18 and 12 now) and being married for 14 years. By far the most meaningful, amazing processes I have been a part of.

I am a great gardener and can pull your weeds or plant seeds or starts for you. I know a LOT about the human psyche and the body and can help people unravel their patterns and understand themselves better very quickly - if someone would like that. I can also offer informal yoga and meditation instruction, and, I am a pretty good cook. Happy to make meals to share!
