Why I'm on Couchsurfing
To meet and connect with people from other cultures, to expand my life experience, to make the world a kinder and more understanding place. Please, please, do not assume I am looking for a date or some romantic relationship, do not expect such thing. Be a sincere host/guest, be respectful of your host/guest. Let's make the world a better place, especially for female travelers.
Music, Movies, and Books
Looove country music since as long as I can remember, mostly for the mood, the heartfelt lyrics, and the heart-tugging voices. Recently, I really enjoy Kacey Musgraves and Luke Combs. The books that shaped my spirit for adventure are Mark Twain's The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn and Jon Krakauer's Into The Wild. Gattaca and Seven Years in Tibet are two movies that I will never forget. I watched them as a teenager and they impacted me profoundly.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Hiking up mountains alone in Japan (including its five highest peaks), conquering my fear of heights, island hopping and solo camping in the wild. These experiences were very formative in building my self-confidence at the age of 37! It's never too late to bloom🌺🌺🌺 Thank you, Japan, for being such a safe country for a solo female traveler to reinvent herself🙇🏻♀️ Started to run at the age of 38 and finally got a chance to run at the Chicago Marathon in 2022 (my 7th marathon, my first World Marathon Majors)🏃🏻♀️
What I Can Share With Hosts
