Overview
About Me
I am originally from France and I have spend a great deal of the last 3 years in Asia (for internship, work and travel). I have recently moved to Zürich to live with my swiss boyfriend.
I may seem somewhat shy and not so talkative at first but I open up pretty fast. I am an open minded person and a good listener.
Regarding leasures and so on, I like to spend time in the mountains and in the nature. I am normally pretty dynamic and like to spend busy days travelling/doing sport or just reading. But I am also enjoy rest days at home with a good book or nice people to hang out with.
My boyfriend, whom you will most probably cross if you come to surf with us, is a PhD student in law he is therefore very busy with that and spend long days at work. He has also travel quite a bit mostly in Asia and Europe, he is very interested in politics and cultures.
When it comes to leasure, we are quite alike and we enjoy spending our weekends in the mountains together or reading for hours.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have used couchsurfing sporadically over the years as a host, surfer or just to meet people as I was travelling and I have made some amazing friends thanks to the platform.
I think it is a great way to meet new people and socialise. I have had the chance to travel and stay for extended periods of times in homestays (not with couchsurfing) in Asia and I have found it to be an amazing way to get a better understanding of the country I am travelling in.
Interests
I have very eclectic taste and I like doing many things from cozy at home to more adventurous style.
My major interests are walks and hikes (and animal watching) - jungle tour in Thailand or mountain trekking in Switzerland are among my best memories. I also like to do some sport, my bike is my major means of transportation around the city of Zürich. I like to go swimming and running when I get the chance, although I am not very good at it. I also enjoy taking photos when I am traveling.
On the more cozy side, I like to sew, I have made some of my own clothing, customizations and I make repairs for myself and friends -much better that throwing away in my opinion. I am a pretty big reader, I can spend hours a day reading. I like to learn languages.
Me and my partner share a thing for cooking, we spend a lot of time in the kitchen everyday, we enjoy vegan, fresh and healthy food so we think it is the best was to get access to it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot from science-fiction to non fiction and many things in between. I really enjoyed reading the lord of the ring, Auster, Werber (a french author), Orwell, ...
I dont listen to that much music but I like a bit of everything.
As to movies.... well... I am not that much of a movie watcher, we realised a few days ago with my partner that the last movie we watch was some months ago ^^
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It is hard to choose one but I believe I would choose the wedding of my Indonesian host sister. Living in a tidy house suddenly inhabited by 200 guests for 7 days. Joining every ceremony, helping and being explained the meaning behind each. It was such a good time with friends and such a good way to learn more about the Indonesian culture.
Teach, Learn, Share
I will be able to share on agronomy and agriculture, sewing, French and English language, some cooking...
I am eager to discover more about those subjects but any language, places you love going to in your country (they might not be touristic, doesn't matter as long as it s not a shopping mall)
What I Can Share with Hosts
A place to stay, ideas of tips around town and some ideas of trips around Switzerland (I love to spend my weekends away to discover the surrending so I can explain you how to get to places by public transportation and what to do there)
