About Me

I grew up in rural Vermont (USA) and then moved to Montréal (Québec) to study urban planning. I enjoy being outside, walking around cities, observing people, planning adventures and drawing.

I have a diversity of work experiences: trail crew leader, community music festival organizer, camp counselor, urban farmer.

In urban planning I focused mainly on how suburbs could be adapted to an older population.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Its a great way to connect with people. I have only surfed, however when I move back to Montréal I will be able to start hosting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to danse to any kind of music. My dad plays traditional fiddle and I have learned a bit, but I am slightly tone deaf I think. Rather, I choose to express my creativity through drawing.

I don't listen to any particular band, however I especially enjoy Rhythm and Blues, Soul and Funk.

In Montréal there is this great event every tuesday at "Les Boboards" on Saint-Laurent intersection with Maryanne. Check out this link for more information and MAKE SURE TO GO! AMAZING MUSIC! (Improv funk)

As for visual artists, I really admire Frida Khalo's work, as well as Dali, Van Gogh, Nikkie de Ste Phalle. I look forward to seeing as many museums as possible while I am in Europe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well- I've swam in bioluminescent waters. It was like being Peter Pan and/or having magical powers!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more about your past trips! Tell me what was easy, was hard, was worth doing and seeing!

I have traveled by bike, bus and plane. I have done a couple backpacking and canoe trips. I am more than glad to help you plan your next trip!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you more about Québec and Vermont, in the Northeast (relatively) of the big continent called America. I can cook, sing, giggle, tell you stories, help you clean the house and teach you more about urban planning!
