I grew up in New Hampshire and had hardly been out of the country when I left to live in Berlin, Germany for the year. When I was there, I realized that the rest of the world isn't as inaccessible as I thought. Then I went to college for a year, really dislike it, and decided to spend some more time out on my own in this small world. I'm really independent but I do love making connections with people. Totally into self-discovery combined with global-discovery.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I decided that if I kept waiting for my friends at home to try and get them to go on trips with me, I would never go. So I just decided to go alone and make friends as I go.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Hiked El Teide on Tenerife and warmed my hands with hot gasses escaping from the volcano.

My Interests
One time I was lost in the rabbit hole that is Ted Talks. I stumbled upon one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJORi5VO1F8 Emilie Wapnick discusses being a multipotentialite. That is, someone who does not have one soul passion or "calling," rather they have multiple potentials. I saw this when I was at college. I felt lost and depressed because it felt like everyone around me had these "goals" that I just couldn't define for myself. So after seeing this I decided that it was time for me to explore all of my potentials. Then I bought a plane ticket.
