ABOUT ME

We are the women's Ultimate Frisbee team of the Claremont Colleges in Claremont, CA — a group of about 30 young women who spend our time going to class and playing Ultimate! Most of us grew up across the United States, although some of us hail from such exciting locales as Hong Kong, Germany and Canada! Although our entire team is pretty large, only about 10-20 of us travel to any given tournament, and when CouchSurfing we will try to distribute ourselves across several different hosts. We are a very easy-going group — we are quiet, respectful, self-sufficient, and we will sleep almost anywhere. We are also a very close-knit team, and many of us can sleep in very little space.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We travel all around the United States for Frisbee tournaments. Unfortunately, we are a club sport (AKA no love from our school), and we have no money for hotels. By participating in the CouchSurfing community, we hope to reduce travel costs for individual players, while getting to meet and share our experiences with neat people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We used couchsurfing.org as a team for the first time to go to the 2010 Regional Championships tournament in Colorado. We had amazing hosts, and a really wonderful time. We're fairly new to couchsurfing as a team, but some of our players use it personally and love it. We're excited to get to know couchsurfing better, and meet more amazing people!

Interests

We are a very diverse group of ladies, but we all have one thing in common: we love playing Ultimate. Besides our love of Frisbee, we love dance parties, eating at Chipotle after a day of games, and sleeping on living room floors! We have a wide variety of personal backgrounds and academic interests, and between us we speak over 10 languages! Our major areas of study include biology, chemistry, art conservation, math, sociology, comparative literatures, psychology, and many more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Many of us read The New York Times in the morning... Besides that, between all of us we read a crazy mix of everything. O-Chem textbooks to medieval Spanish literature, and everything in between. Movies: Space Jam and Wall-E were recent Team Movie Night favorites.Music: We listen to A LOT of '90's pop on long road trips.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have mastered the public transportation system of Austin, TX.

We won Division III College Women's Nationals in 2012!!!!!
