CURRENT MISSION
To ride my bike around the world. Followers welcome.
ABOUT ME
All about me? Nothing else? I am like a bird, with a sense of freedom that I see it is unusual to many, and easy-goingopenminded as most people use to say but...
Love all those who act naturally. I love Mother Nature, peace, harmony. Oh I am vegetarian, but nevermind if I share the house with meat-eaters. I do not eat meat at all. Cheese, eggs, yes, but no fish, sea-food (unless sea algae).
PHILOSOPHY
Peace, love and rock'n roll. Many species of animals show us how to live better, clever, smart. And the himn of the world for the mankind is "Imagine", it is not just a song. Not, John, of course you are not the only one. The sun comes tomorrow. And I mention also "Tomara" (Hopefully) a beatiful Brazilian song that at the end says< "A coisa mais bonita que ha no mundo, e viver cada segundo, como nunca mais".
Philosophers, a long list: Nietszche was my mentor. But then Espinoza, Sartre, just to mention some.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was discussing with a couple while travelling, some time ago, about what a great idea should be to create in internet, a web site with people to host and people searching for some place to sleep in their homes. They mentioned CS exists yet, so you won! Congratulations! Slow turtle, me... (Snif, buaaaaaahh /:-( )
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just because, of what it is written above. We were talking about so many experiences while travelling and being invited to stay in the homes of locals. CS surges clearly as the result of same experiences by the creator/s. Isn't it?
Interests
I was born to travel. Bad boy since early days, my parents wanted to stop me several times, impossible. LOL. I have a nomad spirit, thus travelled a lot, and I guess, I'll continue to do so. Uncountable experiences. In the most unusual ways. Just to mention some: sleeping in a "chalana", a small boat crossing a tiny river between Bolivia and Argentina. Sleeping in a dream house in the middle of a peninsula between 2 fjords in Norway, well I almost didn't sleep, the house was all transparent (glass with no walls for outside) and the views were, simply spectacular.

Music, Movies, and Books
Forrest Gump, the best ever. Brazilian music from the 60s to the 90s, Elis Regina, Caetano Veloso, Vinicius. Also instrumental music, and I love the Middle Age kind, also Queen, Beatles, Nirvana, Eric Clapton, Creedence, Michael Jackson, Shakira, many others. Books: Borges, Paulo Coelho, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jorge Amado, Marx, Nietszche, many others. But now I avoid any violent content, be it in movies, music, books. Stop to feed the f... violence for building a better world, please.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Many. I am writing a book. Just to say some: amazed with a repentine Northern Light after 2 weeks up in the polar circle under bad weather, it came as a gift just 2 nights before my return home.
Another: I went with a small inflatable boat to French Polinesia, I crossed to the tiny islands across the lagune in Tahaa. At time I decided to go back, I saw the drift begun to be so strong while tide was changing... I decided to go back to the tiny island, thinking I'd not go back to the hotel until the morning after, so I'd stay the night in the tiny island. The owner of the small hotel where I was, adviced me before I left the main Island, to take care when tide comes, worrying that rowing across the lagune with this fragile boat is kind of dangerous due to the strong currents. The fact I couldn't communicate to say I am OK, but I don't go back until the next day, made me sad, because I knew this woman was lovely, talking for hours with me, she, alone, not only runs the hotel and restaurant, but has a vanilla plantation and showed me how she has to make the reproduction by hand, flower by flower! The fact is: the bees necessary for polinise the vanillas are not in French Polinesia, and Tahaa is an island were the settlers insisted to produce vanilla, polinising the flowers, one-by-one, by human hands! Well, I knew she'd be scared if I didn't show up that evening, crossing back the lagune. After some hours, delighted with a forced situation in a Paradise, but really sad because I knew that woman would be in panic about my no-show, suddenly I saw a boat trying to be next to "my tiny island", looking surely for me, almost at dark. I called them but they didn't hear me in the distance. I improvised a kind of a flag with a piece of palm tree and a plastic bag as it was hard to be seen in the distance, but finally they have seen my winding flag, though they couldn't approach because of the coral reef. Once they stop waiting for me, I went carefully across the corals and rowed with my inflatable boat for a little, while discovering the low tide was almost at the end, and drift was way less than before. That's also the reason they couldn't come before. I've got a ride back with them, to a happy end. Mme. Nicole have sent them in search of me. Sorry. She is a great woman. Unforgetable.
