Overview
About Me
I am a pretty nice person with an outdoorsy personality. I am born in CT and raised there with some time living in UT. I'm nice like someone not from New England but my bluntness cannot be mistaken. I currently hold two bachelor degrees from the UofU. I am a free spirit, shedding serious responsibility to the best of my ability while I still can and be wild and free. I am single, straight, and a pretty good conversationalist. I left my job in Sept 2017 without a clue where to go next and ended up setting up my own company looking to make investments that matter. So far that has led me to grow my stock portfolio 50% in 6 weeks, take responsibility for the operation of 2 small-scale farms where I can finally have a minimal carbon footprint, and begin planning for some of next big endeavors: a health center based around the mind, body, and soul through nutrition, agriculture, and yoga as well as changing the way people move around via alternative transportation. The health center is next on my radar while the transportation idea will soon be pursuable but unfortunately the capital cost is quite high so it's on the back burner. I love a challenge and thrive in uncertainty--the test of confidence excites me even if at times it pulvarizes me spirit. I have a blog about traveling and my hobbies if you are curious:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I initially made this when the possiiblity came to be able to sleep in D.C. on 7/4/15. I then used it to try to lower my carbon footprint when I go to ski trips and currently I use it because the converations at hostels seem to be all the same small-talk and people are nice but I strive for more than small-talk and I have become pretty good friends with the one girl I stayed with and figured I could build on this.
Interests
Backpacking, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, Skiing. trying to expand into canoeing/kayaking, fishing, and surfing. Besides physical activity (how I get in my workout), I enjoy to read, learn, have meaningful conversations, and above all strive to live a happy lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
Anything by Bernard Cornwell. Social Intelligence is one I read recently that I enjoyed a lot. Philosophy.
Music:
old school hip hop and some new hip hop, rock, electronic (not house/base), and trying to dabble in jazz and some classical.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2015, failed at The Greater Patagonia Trail in 2016-2017, and did most of the south island of Te Araroa in New Zealand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think I am a good teacher depending on the subject matter--obviously. I am certified to teach yoga so I guess that is my best thing currently but I Can teach one how to play the harmonica as well. And about nutrition--that is the thing I am pursuing and can inform about why eating more vegetables/fruit and less meat is in fact a change that will better your world--hint, it has to do with oxidation. For an example of oxidation, check out an apple after it has been bitten into and when it starts to turn brown that is what oxidation is.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I play harmonica poorly, stories of places I have visited, a decent conversation, beer, a helping hand,
