I am Appalachian born and raised. It is a beautiful, albeit misunderstood, region. I left for a while to go to college in NYC. After graduation I took a year off and backpacked Europe and taught English in Peru. I was hosted many times and met so many wonderful people. Now I'm home again. I wish to be part of the positive and progressive change in West Virginia. And I’m excited to be on the other side of the couch for once!
