About Me

2023 Me: I'm living in the wonderful city of Philadelphia and love the idea of couchsurfing again! Just need to plan some trips first. Big into bicycling (just started racing!), photography and wrestling.

2016 Me: I'm almost halfway through a three month solo tour of Europe and relish the opportunity to meet new people. Even though almost no one accepts my couch surfing requests, I haven't given up because of my past six weeks of traveling, the places where I've couchsurfed have been my favorite! It's unbelievable how much local insight and a new friend can improve an experience in a country! I will continue to couchsurf because it is the best way to really get a sense for a place.

I'm a college grad who loves learning, art, adventures, and athletics. I've wrestled my whole life and have an affinity for drawing. I left my sports event management job to explore the world and want to do three months of exploring Europe before I go home and go back to work/rescue my financial future!

I love engaging in deep conversations (any and all topics welcome). I equally enjoy tearing up a dance floor or staying in writing, drawing, watching a movie, or chatting.

I'm passionate about creating through photography, drawing (usually charcoal), or writing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a big fan of meeting new people, gaining new perspectives, traveling, and saving money.

Couchsurfing seems to be a perfect storm of all of these things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'll listen to everything except screamo. Usually listen to hip-hop, also enjoy top 40s, Shakira, Adelle, Dave Matthews Band, 90s alternative, soft and soothing (Corinne Bailey Rae, Norah Jones, Sinatra), Glass Animals, Dr. Dre, so many rappers, Flume, Pentatonix, Stromae, and many more

Movies: Drama, Action, Comedy. Good Will Hunting, Remember the Titans, Bourne Identity/Supremacy/Ultimatum, Dumb & Dumber, many more. Fun fact, when I was in Berlin I went to some of the sites where Jason Bourne went during the Bourne Supremacy. I don't know if "Movie Tourism" is a thing, but it was a cool new angle to approach a city.

Books: Liked the couple Malcolm Gladwell books I read, Dan Brown, enjoy reading about American Colonial period. I recently found an old book in Bulgaria about Benjamin Franklin that is fascinating! I'd happily take recommendations or trade books :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My cornbread won a blue ribbon at the county fair when I was in middle school. That was pretty huge.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to teach drawing, digital photo editing, and happy to answer any questions people have a bout American culture, as I'm assuredly going to ask about the local culture, so it's only fair.

What I Can Share with Hosts
