Well I am a kind, smiley sore of guy. But I burnt out a few years back and so decided to make a change. Originally from England, well educated, good taste in food and wine, lots of personal life history and well travelled. Now I am building a Tudor house in the middle of (nowhere!) Bulgaria on my own with just a broken shoe string. Please know I am no expert but I am doing all the building myself, even making the furniture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The area has helped me a lot and I wanted to share that with others who need time away and no stress. Kindly be aware I am in a remote area and so if you want to stay a long time that's absolutely cool as quite frankly I need the company. Moreover if your interested (no pressure) I could do with some help with the new building or even in the garden. But if you just need to rest that's cool. Sometime we all just need to get away and if your in that boat then my door is open and I wont ask any questions but if you want to talk I will listen. The area is extremely inexpensive so even if you only have a very small amount of cash you could live very well here for a long time.

Interests

Drinking wine and looking at the shooting stars and the UFOs in what is always a jaw dropping brilliant night sky. Trying to build things with my hands.

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds of music, from Heavy Metal to James Blunt.... I like movies such as Land of the Lost, Midnight in the garden of good and evil, The Shipping News, Riddick, Lord of the Rings, The Martian...... but crazy as it sounds I try and watch every new movie that comes out... now I think of it I am a bit of movie buff actually. As to TV , I like old British comedy, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, and new stuff like Modern Family and the Walking Dead.

Well I lived, I mean I really lived, but I took burning the candle far too far, so I am now very open minded and don't judge. Frankly I don't care why you need to rest - there is a bed for you here. If you want to just sit and cry then no problem, if you want to walk, paint, or fish that's cool to. The place is far too remote for someone to stop for just one night so plan to come for a while. Do as little or as much as you want.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Right now there is just one extra bedroom with two large single beds in it. The house is half done but still has a long way to go you just will just have to live around my decorating or help me with it!
