Music, Movies, and Books
I have an open mind about all, but among my favorites are: Lana Del Rey, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Giovanni’s Room
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got to speak my Indigenous language of Nahuatl in my testimony before the New York State Assembly for a hearing on expanding access to mental healthcare. The bill for which my organization (the New York Mental Health Counselors Association or NYMHCA) was lobbying passed during the same legislative session after over a decade of trying. Was it all me? No. Am I still proud? Of course!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share the city in which I live and love (NYC) from an Indigiqueer perspective. I’m fully vaccinated and boosted (Covid x 4, Mpox x 2)!
