Overview
About Me
I have moved all around the world, traveling, meeting people, and, on some level, investigating the deeper meaning behind what this life is truly all about. The past few years have taken me to Hawaii, the Caribbean coast of Mexico, a tiny island called Salt Spring, and now to a beautiful, remote small town on the very west coast of Canada.
I am a vegetarian, and I love to cook and to eat. I believe food and music are two of the best and most enjoyable ways to get to know a new place and culture. I am always happy to cook and share a meal and a story.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some of my most beloved memories are things that happened to me while traveling, through the kindness of strangers and the magic of serendipity. Couchsurfing seems like the perfect way to have more of these experiences, while helping others to do the same.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - all kinds! I love live music, and I always try to find and experience the traditional music of a place when I am visiting. I believe there is a perfect song for every moment.
Movies - Studio Ghibli, The Goonies, Hitchcock, Documentaries, Wes Anderson, quirky independent films
Books - Old classics like Hemingway and Borges, a good thriller/crime novel, fantasy, science fiction, and an ever-widening range of spiritual texts.
