About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make a positive impact with this lifetime. And plant a garden.
ABOUT ME
Oh goodness. These "all about me" blurbs. Here goes: Living the dream in the beautiful NC mountains. To obtain that stuff called money, I work with amazing folks at Appalachian State University teaching Sustainability; share the joys of yoga at Neighborhood Yoga; and serve yummy, organic and humanely raised food at The Gamekeeper. To obtain the juicy stuff called happiness, I garden, play, learn new things, dance, practice yoga, cook yummy food and share it with funny friends, and play fetch with Maple, my one-floppy-eared mutt. Oh. And I love to travel.
PHILOSOPHY
Be nice. Be happy. Be thankful. Just be.

Interests
Engaging discussions about philosophy, nonsense, or funny stories. Playing devil's advocate while standing in the front of a classroom to interested college students studying sustainability. Mountains, adventures, homegrown tomatoes, dancing to all kinds of music, basil pesto, fresh banana smoothies, laughing, gin and tonic with a fresh lime, learning new things, golden beets, knitting scarves for winter, playing outside in the snow, playing outside in the spring, playing outside in the autumn leaves, playing outside in swimming hole after rock hopping up an awesome mountain creek, playing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every moment has it's own amazing-ness, don't you think?
Although seeing the overwhelming joy, liveliness, and appreciation of Peruvian children while playing with them at their Andean mountain school for a week was pretty phenomenal. Even though they had little in their pockets, they had so much to give. Life changing, eye-opening experience, for sure.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yoga instructor. I've recently begun teaching yoga to kids and find this to be incredibly rewarding and fun. I can make a really cool hand whistle. And I play the sweet stick (a three stringed instrument fretted like a dulcimer). I love to dance and know a variety of latin and ballroom moves. And living in the Appalachians, I can clog/flatfoot as well. Yeehaw.
