Overview
About Me
Just a passionate student of life, who loves the smell of old books and the sound of new ideas, the click of a camera shutter, fresh-printed newspapers, Adobe, people harmonizing together, her cat, her family (and friends who became family), and those heart-breaking sentences in perfect prose that you underline in your books to tuck away in your heart.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet and get to know new people, from different backgrounds.
To travel the world and explore new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music – I'm a big fan of new folk bandsThe Head and The Heart, Houndmouth, oldies (rock especially), The Eagles, Paul McCartney, real country/blue grass like Johnny Cash and Old Crowe Medicine Show, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Nnenna Freelon and jazz in general.... I think it's impossible for me to list them all. I particularly enjoy live music and open mic nights.
Movies – musical movies like Chicago, Evita, Singin' in the Rain; Quentin Tarantino and plots that are complex, interwoven, and surprising; old classics...
Books – books with beautiful prose and descriptions of other cultures like The God of Small Things, novels that surprise me and make me think like those by Chuck Palahniuk, non-fiction books that are both interesting and informative such as Freakonomics or Savage Inequalities, poetry by Lorca, Pablo Neruda, and so many others...
