About Me
Hi there,
First things first, I'm not a serial killer, I promise.
Aspiring historian, if I can ever get through all of the schooling.
I'm a horrid cook, but lover of good food.
Not a good joke teller, but I'll laugh at yours. Even if they're dad jokes. (Especially if they're dad jokes.)
I'm poor, but what student isn't?
I love beautiful cities, snarky cats, and old books.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As an incredibly poor college student, couchsurfing seems like the easiest way for me to be able to travel as I would like to--meeting locals, trying new things, exploring beautiful cities.
Interests
I have a passion for history, and plan to someday be a historian.
Books are something of a best friend option for me, and I have hundreds of books on various topics. I have fantasy, classics, short stories, satire, politics, the lot.
Obviously I love traveling, since I'm on this lovely site.
My only talent, besides my ability to burn every food item I attempt to cook, would be my musical skill, which I got from my mother. I'm best at piano, but I can make a mean glissando on the harp as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music . . .
Film music, Bon Iver, Angus & Julia Stone, Marina & the Diamonds, Hozier. Guilty pleasure may or may not be Katy Perry.
Movies . . .
V for Vendetta, the Lord of the Rings trilogy (but not the Hobbit trilogy), Shutter Island, Fight Club, Inception, and plenty others, I'm sure.
Books . . .
The Game of Thrones series, American Gods, Mindy Kaling as an author, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Immersed myself in German culture and became relatively good at speaking in the language in 2 months. It's not amazing, but it's something I'm proud of.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm rather good at the piano and harp, and if you want some tips, I'm there for you!
Traveling means learning, and I have learned so much in the past 7 months that I never knew I could learn about. If you want to read more about that, click on my shameless plug in here:

I would love to share my experiences with you, just ask what you'd like!
