Overview
About Me
From the extreme heat of North Eastern Brazil to the extreme cold of Russia, from the "znoy" to the "snegopad". Since my chidhood I enjoyed languages, a channel to meet new people from different cultures and places.
I'm a fan of Russian and British literature and German and Russian cinema. I adopt a healthy way of life, no smoke and no drugs at all.
Since my 13 I am deeply interested in Russian culture and history, "devorating" basically every material on this topic that falls on my way. It's very common to hear from foreigners and Russians themselves "how many years I've lived in Russia". It happens that, as a Brazilian saying goes, "the one who reads travels". I have one blog in Portuguese and Russian about Russia itself, a blog I'm now writting at book format.
I am also a historical reenactor, mostly reenacting WWII events. I love fencing and running!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to visit people, not travelling. Honestly I don't understand people who travel and can't make friends or at least get acquainted with locals, the point of travelling is meeting new people who add something to your life.
I was enthusiasticaly received in Russia, the kind of reception that I never expected to receive in a foreign country, that's why they always have hosting priority. I did not even feel myself in a foreign country, but at a new home.
It's also a good opportunity to learn new languages and cultural knowledge, as well as a great chance to have a tea with a special guest.
I had good experiences hosting people from Russia, Brazil, Hungary and Austria and meeting communicative people is always interesting, specially when they have something to teach you.
Interests
Cultural development, languages, politics, literature, sports and historical reenacting.
I like meeting intelligent and kind people. Intelligence without kindness is a dangerous combination!
I'm a lover of historical fencing and I intend to develop my archery skills soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to talk about just one, so I resume all of them in a fantastic thing I've done, visited Russia! There I:
- Participated a Russian folk party (vetchyorka)
- Walked and ice skated on frozen lakes and Baltic sea, I also dived in frozen lakes
- Participated as a volunteer for military archeology of Finnish-Russian war in the Republic of Karelia
- Took part in various historical reenaction events in St. Petersburg, Karelia and Novgorod
- Learned the art of fencing
Teach, Learn, Share
Portuguese and Brazilian culture and history. I can teach you how to prepare the best Brazilian dish, known as "feijoada":
