About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To spread love and friendship is my motto!
ABOUT ME
I am a Brazilian woman married to a Dane who has moved to Denmark in November, 2012. I like to think that I am funny, outgoing and sometimes outspoken too! My passions include wine, poetry, dancing, singing, music in general, literature, gymnastics, world politics, social engagement, charity, philosophy, the study of religions, open air events and gathering with friends.
PHILOSOPHY
Happiness is an imaginary state of the mind. We don't need to oblige ourselves to be happy; it is OK to be sad sometimes. We must enjoy what life gives us, and be grateful for that - this is where happiness lies for me: in gratitude. Quoting Iron Maiden - "So, understand - don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years. Face up, make your stand, and realize you're living in the golden years" :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel, and some years ago I've learned that the best way to go is to try to get to know local people on the places I visit. It is always better to hang out with someone who will give you the opportunity to experience a city from a non-tourist point of view. I love to make friends and CS is a good way for it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Back in Brazil I hosted several people at my place, in São Paulo. Here in Denmark, I have hosted two Brazilians and a musician from Macedonia. I love to cook and I like to 'impress' my guests with specialties, whenever possible. Good food and good wine are essential elements in my life. I haven't had the chance to be hosted anywhere yet. It is about time, now... :P
Interests
I love knitting, crocheting and handicrafting. I enjoy sightseeing, window shopping, movies, museums, art and literature, and certainly I love to eat good food and try new food, too - especially if with wine! One of my biggest passions is to dance: I am good at samba, salsa and Latin rhythms, but I can dance other things, too! Love to go out and meet people for coffee, for a beer, or just hang out and chat.

Music, Movies, and Books
One of my favorite things to do (especially on rainy days) is to watch western or pulp movies. I enjoy jazz, samba, bossa nova and rock but I am always open to get to know new rhythms and music from places of the world I've never been to. One of my favorite books is 'Siddhartha' by Hermann Hesse - if you get a chance, read it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to write for an amazing blog, named Brasileiras Pelo Mundo. It was an incredible experience. Through the blog I got to meet lots of interesting people and helped many with advice and counselling about life in Denmark.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you have a flair for cooking or gastronomy, I'd love to cook a meal for/together with you! I can help you with your Danish (if you are not a Dane, of course - otherwise you can help me, lol) and with errands in the city.
Since I became a mother I have some fixed activities every week but I try to be helpful and social with the best I can.
