Overview
About Me
Cristiano, 19, Porto, Portugal.
Life motto: "We can't choose where we come from but we can choose where we go from there."
I was born in a Portuguese small town, but I've been always a big dreamer. If I aim to achieve something, I work hard for it until I get what I want. "Give up" is not in my dictionary.
I am currently studying management at University of Minho, in Braga. I really like the course, since it has really dynamic subjects, useful for my future career. The university also offers us workshops and conferences, which enriches a lot our "soft skills" in terms of communication , organisation and creativity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of the reasons I'm on couchsurfing is the limited budget I posess everytime I travel, and accomodation ends up being one of the biggest slices of our "budget cake".
However, that is not the main reason, at all. I realised that having the chance to meet locals is so awesome, for they are the best people to show you around and give you special tips. It's amazing how couchsurfing has built a solid network of genuine people that are able to dedicate their time to help other people. I've hosted people from greece, spain and germany due to a project that I'm involved in called "European Youth Parliament" and it's safe to say that experiencing cultural diversity is probably one of the best things we have in life.
I want to go further and engage in this "couchsurfing" spirit. I want to look back one day and remember all the hosts that were kind enough to receive me in their homes. I hope I have the chance to do the same for someone else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last Year, between January 30th and February 8th, I decided to visit Paris and Brussels in a 10 day trip on my own ! It ended up being one of the best experiences of my life. I met people from all over the world at the hostel where I stayed and these 2 cities are charmingly incredible!
I did not do couchsurfing because I thought it would be kinda weird to stay at someone's place for 6 days, so I booked a cool hostel in the centre of Paris and I don't regret it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you the basics of playing guitar and also tell you how to do teambuilding within a group of people.
