Overview
About Me
I grew up in Guatemala for most of my life except for a couple of years that I spent in Spain with my parents and 5 brothers and sisters.
I found from a early age that I enjoyed travelling and discovering the world by myself. Learning from other cultures is one of the most exciting things I can think of.
After working in the corporate world in finance for big companies and prestigious banks I suddenly realized by life lacked meaning. I went for a quest to find something that I was truly passionate about and could also make a living out of it, and so moved to Austin and finished a very difficult but gratifying MBA in entrepreneurship that could someday help me run a business in organic food or health living. This year I went to earn some experience in Mexico working for organic food company in the finance department and decided to leave to make one of my biggest dreams come true: discover the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel and I find that meeting someone locally and having the opportunity to spend time with them, get to know their stories, dreams, fears, and experiences is a wonderful way of connecting and learning from other people.
Interests
I am truly passionate about health, healthy eating, organic food, hiking, spending time in nature, reading, contemplating a beautiful city, mountain, body of water, wondering around new places, meditation, and spirituality. I am also a big dog lover and try to cook vegan healthy meals.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite books are mostly about self-help, I enjoy getting my hands on anything that helps me grow as a person, be stronger, wiser and kinder. My all time favorite is the Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz. I also learned a lot about stoicism, mental toughness and doing the right thing no matter what from the book called Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.
My favorite music is light pop-rock, indie, country and 60s oldies.
