Hi, I'm a 28-year-old Sicilian student of art and design. I went to Florence when I was 18 and now I'm finishing my studies after working and travel arround. For now I'm living in Slovakia with my partner Sami.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually travel independently, but I also love the company of a local who can show me around or a like-minded person who wants to join me for some chilling time.

Interests

I explored my passion in different fields, including design and art, which allowed me to discover multiple aspects simultaneously. I started with textile art and then had the opportunity to experiment with performance, sculpture, photography, and installations at the Academy of Fine Arts, before arriving at the study of exhibition design for commercial and cultural spaces.

I'm interested in sustainability and a low-impact lifestyle. I enjoy cooking and eating vegan meals. I also love spending time in nature and practicing yoga. Improvisation is one of my best skills!

During my Erasmus internship in Porto I met people that teach me the basis of camping, survive, climbing and hiking, and I started travel also alone.

I volunteer and I love to contribute to community projects and learn from others about both practical and intangible things. It's nice simply being present, aware and engaged in life!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music, all the genres, from the most commercial to the niche ones. I love karaoke and I'm listening, singing and dancing a lot during my days.

I reads book to learn about things that I'm interested in: personal growth, feminism, communication, art and design. I had also read some classics to be able to say that I did, and in the end I also liked it.

For film I've a list of classic to see still but, for now, my favorites directors are Lanthimos, Kubrick and Antonioni.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled from Lagos to Lisbon one week backpacking trip with my tent. Not only were the beaches beautiful, but also the amazing people that I met along the way in hitchhiking.
