About Me

Hello everybody,

I have been on this website for two years already. During this time I've met a lot of people and had many great experiences (and a few ones not so great). The thing I like the most about couchsurfing is the opportunity it gives me to be open and make friends with people that normally I wouldn't have the chance to meet.

A few things about myself... I am a history graduate who is currently working as a claims analyst in Bucharest.
I like to read, to walk in nature and to learn new languages. I also love to cook, as I enjoy good food, be it a Romanian traditional dish or something new I haven`t tried yet.
You could visit my blog, if you want:

I try to remain in good shape, physically and mentally, and to enjoy life as much as possible. I consider myself lucky to be born in a time and place where one has the freedom to travel and to experience so many things. Life is beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I want to see the world. Either by accepting guests (in this way the world comes to me) or by going to new places and being hosted myself. In my opinion, travelling is not necessarily about seeing places, buildings or museums, but about meeting people who are different from you, who have other tastes, interests, customs and ways to look upon the world. That is why the most interesting part of hosting someone are for me the conversations on different topics, from politics to history and society.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Santiano, Faun, Alec Benjamin.

Every time I read a good book, it becomes my favorite. A very, very short list of authors would of course include Seneca, Montaigne, Bertrand Russell (who taught me what being a humanist means), Nassim Taleb, Karl Popper, and Jordan Peterson.

Favorite Films and Series: Shutter Island, The Man in The High Castle, Game of Thrones, The Godfather, La Vita e Bella, The Grey.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with my hosts or guests recipes and cooking ideas, good books I have read or films I watched. Also, I really love talking about my country, so if you you want to find out more about Romanian history, culture and politics, I will be happy to talk with you on these topics.

I would be thankful to anyone who would teach me how to make a good photograph.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom
