About Me

Hello there!Nice that you stopped by :) I am a 28-year-old girl doing volunteer work in Austria at the moment. Haven't tried couchsurfing so far, but as I wish to travel more, so I thought I would give it a try.

I consider myself as an open-minded person, who is interested in many things. It means I am not the best in any special fields, but have some knowledge in many. Some of my friends say I am a bit shy and need a short time to show my real (a bit crazier) character.

Studied tourism and had a second major, recreation that I didn't finish, as I went to Korea with a scholarship. Well, what else..was a painter in an art high school, danced jazz ballet for 11 years and played some instruments, the longest was clarinet for 6 years. Hmm, yeah....

And what might interest you.. my home is mostly clean, though you might find some unwashed plates from the mornings waiting for me afternoon to clean.
And I am a polite visitor thinking about other people's own time and privacy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Definitely want to meet more people who could share their stories, experiences and interests. I will travel myself, but would like to have some visitors too, as I don't know too many people in Tirol yet and would be great to spend some time with others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music.
The genre is to my mood and I am always up to something refreshing.
Some artists I would wholeheartedly recommend might be
x Snarky Puppy (jazz-fusion),
x Chon (math rock),
x Sunni Colón (dance/electronic with some nice 70's grooves)
x Middlemist Red (psyth rock)

Movies.
I like to check short animations a lot. Because of my studies I watched quite lot of Korean movies, some of them became my favourites, like Bin-Jip, Oldboy, The man from nowhere, etc.

Books.
Almost any book by the Hungarian writer called Antal Szerb. I read lots of Murakami books as well, for me the best was Kafka on the shore. Some others:
x George Orwell - 1984
x Mihail Bulgakov - Master and Margarita
x Boris Vian - Foam of the Daze

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm... I think the volunteer project that I am doing at the moment is pretty amazing. :) I work in a social pedagogic community and learn, play with kids. Or cook.. or clean.. whatever is needed haha.

Other than that... Last year I spent some time in a really hippy mood with my friends at the eastest city of Hungary.

Gone to Japan by myself and tried to find the famous church by Tadao Ando. Funnily, I couldn't find it after all, but got to know, even the citizens have no idea where it is.

People say it is pretty impressive that I learned Korean.. I don't know whether it is truly amazing, hmm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really interested in cultural and language exchanges.

Well... with my flatmate we can teach you our stupid dances (I am not sure how much this impresses you...)
Also, we always have around 2kg apples, popcorn and some wine at home, of course you can get your part of it.
As a volunteer we have our simplest (high gourmet!!) food at home - you can imagine!

Our flat has a view to the mountains, a small garden and we make some coffees in the morning to have it outside or in our living room, what we can share too with you.

At the weekends we would happily go with you to check out some cities in Tirol (Innsbruck, Hall in Tirol - there is a great pub with interesting programmes for example, Schwaz, Wattens, etc.). Hereby we have everywhere mountains, so we could go for some nice walks too.

When we have a meeting with volunteers, I am quite sure they are also welcoming you in our plans. :)

And a plus: we wish to give away our most bizarre porzelain set. (Please take it awaaaaaay and save us!)

What I Can Share with Hosts
