Overview
About Me
First off.... I go by CT. Not Craig. If you call me Craig in your message I will probably reject your request
CURRENT MISSION
When I travel, my mission is to explore the world's best spots. I also want to see all the best sights I can. Whether it is in every tourist book or a spot only locals know, count me in.
When I host, I want to provide a safe and fun environment for my guests. I can facilitate tours around the city or provide recommendations. While I am completely fine with my guests doing their own thing, I also expect that my apartment be treated as something more than just a free hotel.
ABOUT ME
I am fun and outgoing. I have moved around a lot in my life. I also have embraced my wanderlust. I love to see new things and explore the locals' scene.
I do have a kitty, so if you're allergic, please don't request. 😻
PHILOSOPHY
Live life to its fullest. Let love grow where it can. Embrace the ideal that each of us is on his or her own journey
PREFERENCE
I lived in LA for a year then Austin, I have now been in St Pete for a couple years. I love showing people my town.
Preference will be given to guests who are staying between 2-5 days. It takes a lot for me to prepare my place for a new guest. While it seems like a quick one night stay is low maintenance, it is actually very difficult for me. It requires a lot of scheduling considerations, arrival/departure logistics, and clean/prep time. Obviously, I am not saying I do not accept 1 night stays, just know that I prefer more time with guests.
Additionally, if you are under 21 then I will probably hesitate in hosting you. I will make exceptions, but a lot of my favourite things require you to be 21 with identification.
NOTICE
Unless we have mutual friends that are helping coordinate travel or we have met in person, please do not send a friend request to me. I am happy to talk through trip logistics using messages. But for the safety of CS users, I do not want to be part and party to people with whom I have no affiliation. I do not treat me Friends List as a collection.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting people, and I love being a tour guide. I feel like we all need to work to put good out into the world. I want to do my part.
PURPOSE
Please realize that I use Couchsurfing as a way to share experiences with travellers. Couchsurfing, in my opinion, is not meant to be a free hotel or just a place to crash while you look for a job. If you are one of the following, then you might want to look for another host or try AirBNB/Hotels.com/hostel:
-Coming to Tampa Bay for a job interview
-Needing a place near the airport for an overnight
-Requesting a ride across town (try Uber)
-Escaping a loud roommate to study
-Living host to host while you work in Florida
-Receiving treatment nearby
-Requesting long-term accommodations
-Searching for a place in town and realized that hotels are expensive
NOTE OF SEMANTICS
If you send a request that is one of these, I will probably reject it with a short reply. This may seem rude, but I would argue that not reading someone's PURPOSE statement about their own domicile that you are requesting is even more rude. I do not intend to say "I am sorry," for I am not sorry that other guests read my profile and requested properly and got accepted. I am not sorry that I am already hosting people. I am happy to host those current guests. I think by forcing people to say they are sorry we are discrediting the process.
Interests
I love festivals: whether they are beer festivals, or tacos, or music... Bring it on. I am energetic and fun.
If you have particular interests that you would like to do when you visit Tampa St Pete, let me know. I will give you my email/WhatsApp, and we can formulate a cool itinerary together.

Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about beer: I worked in a brewery as a tour guide. If you want to talk about this, great. If you hate beer, that is fine too. I love to explore the globe and share those stories too. I would enjoy talking through these with you. Also I know a lot about computers, cars, music, and movies. If something else is your passion, let me know.
What I Can Share with Hosts
