Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been on many couches . . . the first that comes to mind is the time I posted up on one of my best friend's couches for 6 weeks while I was on the road for business. I was trying to be thrifty by camping instead of renting a hotel but it was the heat of the summer and that lasted about a day and a half. Thank you MAX & DERRICK for making that nice leather couch available. After that, I've always enjoyed late night crash outs on my own couch here at home. Friends always compliment how easy it is to pass out on it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I remember being on a sailboat at about 3am, pitch black, surrounded by nothing but the ocean for as far as the eyes could see. All by myself while my mates were below squeezing in their nap. The horizon was wrapped in a curtain of gray clouds 360 degrees around me. I could tell because the full moon lit up the sky above me. It was like I was inside a massive bowl full of water. The best part was the flashes of lightning in the clouds . . . literally on the horizon. It was one of the most serene moments of my life and I will always remember the overwhelming feeling of peach that came over me as I sat and watched the world operate around me. The stars, the skies, the moon, the waves, the lightning, the clouds, the boat, the wind, my breathe . . . unbelievable!!
