About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel around the world to meet and experience different kinds of people and experience amazing cultures

ABOUT ME

I'm originally from La Union, a province located at the Ilocos region in the northern part of the Philippines. I can speak English fluently and 3 Filipino languages including Tagalog which is the national language, Ilokano and Pangasinense that are both spoken in the Ilocos region. I'm currently residing now in Pasig City but working in Mandaluyong City, both are sub-urban cities of Metro Manila. But I still go home to my hometown very often specially during holiday seasons. I'm an engineer by profession but i love travelling and meeting new friends and acquaintances. I also love watching Korean and Japanese dramas, historical, and documentary shows during my free time at home.

Generally, I'm someone who is passionate about travelling, keen in trying different kinds of foods, very eager and enthusiastic about meeting and gaining new friends, and very ecstatic in immersing myself to different lifestyles and cultures of other countries.

PHILOSOPHY

After all these years, I'm still involved in the process of self-discovery. It's better to explore life and make mistakes than to play it safe. Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Air Supply songs and Michael Learns to Rock are my favorite genre of music. I love reading historical books. I love numbers that's why Math was my fave subject back in school along with Science, History and Geography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I supported my own education since I lost both my guardian parents when I was a teen. I was working part time in small shops and restaurants as a cleaner while I was studying with full load of academic units since it was required by the government scholarship program I was in at that time. Yet, I managed to do well in school and even graduated with honors. I'm always been a fighter in all fronts of life. I have been to tough times but I have shown so much courage and will power to fight all odds and have proven that I'm not a pushover. Job is my favorite biblical character because like him, I have lost almost everything and yet I have not lost faith in finding my special place under the sun that someday in God's perfect time, all the blessings I could never imagine will come through.

Because of my background, I'd been very passionate about education and its essence is something I'd like to share to the younger generations. I always believe that education is the key to success and is something that will open bountiful opportunities in the future. That's why I'm supporting the finances and education of my 3 nephews and 1 niece whom I considered already my adopted kids. I have raised them since they were babies when my younger sister's first partner left her when the kids were still very young. I'm also part of supporting kids education in rural areas in the Philippines through the World Vision program. I adopted a kid through this foundation and supporting part of her educational expenses in school specifically on school supplies and books. I wish I'm very rich to help as many young kids as I could so I can shape their future and somehow break the cycle of poverty.

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is too short to deny ourselves of those things that make us happy. Life is indeed full of uncertainties and imperfections, yet I find to understand its ways and appreciate its beauty because of the people that inspires me to look at a bigger picture beyond my naked eyes can see. I still believe that the best things in life are free.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm just renting an apartment in Pasig City, east of Manila and I live alone most of the time. I can only accommodate 2 people at a given time.
