About Me

I am young and I am looking for a travelling experience which involves some level of interaction with local people. I hope to see the beauty of the world.

It is my belief that people are good and inherently kind, and I try to be the same.

I am a good listener, and I am open to new experiences of (almost) all kind. Some say I am an extrovert, some say I'm an introvert. I guess I'm slowly becoming more and more extrovert, but I maintain that some quiet time can be pleasant as well.

About the not accepting guests thing: I live with my parents and we don't have a spare bed. Soon as I get my own place, you will be able to stay with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quiet frankly I think couchsurfing is what enables me to travel cheaper than I would if I would stay in hotels, but I'm mostly on here for the cultural exchange.

Interests

I like to hike. I love photography. Right now, I am developing a certain love for the idea of travelling some place none of my friends have been before.

I am interested in foreign cultures and in foreign history (these two usually walk side by side). This also involves local cuisine.

I have lots of interests. If you want, we could discuss for hours at a time. Some of my most favorite topics: History, religion, philosophy, right and wrong, how to make the world a better place, and generally the things that interest my host. I love getting someone started on something they are passionate about.

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter, Dan Brown books, travel books.

Movies and TV series: The Big Bang Theory, How I met your mother, Dexter, Narcos, Sons of Anarchy, Fight Club, Lucifer

Music: Sons of Anarchy soundtrack, Avicii, Rolling Stones... The list goes on

I'm always interested in suggestions, so if we meet up and you have a suggestion of what I might want to read, listen to, or watch, I'm usually open.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One new years eve, me and my friends decided to climb up a black (dangerous) ski track at 3 in the morning. To date I don't know exactly why I had that idea, but I think it was worth it all the while.

I've been to Nepal where I went to Everest Base Camp.

I spent eight months serving in the Swiss army. It was a defining experience for me.

I've travelled the Karakoram Highway from Kashgar (China) to Pakistan. That was pretty awesome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not sure if I can teach you anything useful, really. But I guarantee that I've seen one or the other thing in my life that has taught me a lesson I am ready to share. I am generally interested in life lessons.

While I travel, I want to learn as much as possible about the history, the culture, and the society of your place/city/country.

As far as sharing is concerned: Sharing is caring, and the true cause for happiness is giving.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Material: you just ask, and we will see. As for house chores, I help whereever I can. There's a good to fair chance of me having some Swiss Chocolate with me. Or just ask if you want something. If I can bring you a book or a DVD that is hard to come by in your country or region, just ask away.

Intellectual and mental: a whole lot. I am rather open-minded. My friends tell me I am a very good entertainer.

Already mentioned: I like to discuss. I am a good listener, and I am open to hear any story.

Countries I’ve Visited
