About Me

IMPORTANT (READ THIS): I get too many requests from people who don't read my profile. If you want to be hosted, there's a sort of "password" you need to find in my "home" section when you submit a request. Also, please understand that I live in Clinton Township, which is about 20 mins north of Detroit.

How do you say "I love traveling" without sounding like the 14+ million other Couchsurfers? Well I try to be a spontaneous person. I love to go on random adventures, and do what I can to better myself as a human being.

Since I was young I've always loved camping, hiking and writing. If I could be anything it would be an author. Or an adventurer or something.

Right now I'm going to school for business and I travel between semesters. I've got a long bucket list of places and things to do!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Fell in love with the idea when I started traveling and it hasn't failed me yet. I love the people you meet and the places it brings you. So many people have helped me on my travels, and remembering there are good people like that keeps me here. I hope I can return the favor through Couchsurfing.

I enjoy connecting with people and hearing about where they've been, where they're going and what their thoughts are. I'm not here for a free room, I just like meeting new people and doing new things.

PHILOSOPHY

Thirty years from now I want to look back on all my travels, and all the awesome experiences I had with hosts and surfers that I couldn't get anywhere else. I don't want to look back and regret not taking risks or going out into the world and exploring. Life is too short to stay in one place.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love indie folk; think Hozier, Lord Huron, Gregory Alan Isakov, Lumineers, ect. But I can get along with most music.

I'm really into inspirational movies that make you think/feel. First place goes to the Secret Life of Walter Mitty, but some close seconds are Almost Famous, The Giver, Forrest Gump, WALL-E. And just about any Robin Williams movie.

I love to read. I grew up with the dystopian genre so I really love stuff like 1984, Animal Farm, Hunger Games, Unwind. Recently I've been really into adventure novels!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to Iceland and hitchhiked/camped solo for an entire month, that was pretty cool.

Taught English in China and Korea and stayed with a host family.

I also respond to every scam email I get and have fun every time. I have way too much time on my hands.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot of stuff about camping and hiking!

I'll learn whatever you have to teach. I really want to learn how to sail, or weld, or useful skills like that.

I'd love to share stories and ideas and just about anything! Tell me your thoughts about the universe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun stories and experiences from my background, a bit of help around the house if needed. But I'll do my best to be a good guest and show my appreciation.
I can also show you how to cook some great garlic pasta. Or banana bread. I make some real good banana bread.
I laugh a lot, so I'll appreciate whatever sense of humor you have.
