About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My fiancé and I decided that for our honeymoon, we would couch surf and camp our way through California and back to Colorado. We both love making new friends, experiencing new adventures, and eating delicious food!

ABOUT US

We enjoy living an active lifestyle and being outdoors. We both try to be conscious about what we eat. If we can help it, we try to limit our intake of processed sugar, gluten, and dairy. But of course, being food lovers, it's hard to pass up a good cannoli. Tiger is a teacher in Colorado and I am a student. We moved there last year but had previously lived in Portland, OR. We met working at a non-profit that runs campaigns for environmental issues, consumer awareness, and equal rights. Although we have never couchsurfed, we have roughed it through Thailand. Her being able to speak Thai helped a lot!

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind. Smile often. Laugh hard. No Worries!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people while traveling is one my favorite reasons to travel. I fell in love with the couch surfing culture after randomly stumbling into an event at a local restaraunt down the street from where I used to live. There were couch surfers from all over the world visiting and we stayed until closing hours, sharing stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

The last 3 books I read were The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy; Start Something that Matters by Blake Mycoskie and Outliers by Malcome Gladwell. Music often gives me the chills and inspires new ideas. I am into whatever music you want to share! I don't watch too many movies, but I am all caught up on Game of Thrones :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked at an orphanage in India.

Jumped off an 85 ft cliff into ice cold water and made it out alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

Between the two of us we can share lyrics to old folk songs, delicious pie/brownie recepis, how to play beats on a drum set, and some good corny jokes!

We both love to learn. In fact, if we were millionaires, we would constantly be in school.

Between the two of us we could teach drums, dance, a little conversational Thai, and random games.
