My mission is to get away from my normal routine travel as much as I can before I have too many responsibilities.

ABOUT ME

I'm Dan! I'm a pretty sociable guy. I like being outside when the weather allows for it. Nothing like a warm breezy day to make you feel good. When I'm inside I like playing guitar, producing some EDM, or just playing some video games. I love all sorts of music. Rap to rock to dubstep to classical to disco and then some! I love telling jokes and making up funny stories.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life simply to be happy. If something is making me unhappy, I don't just let it happen to me. I go out and find a way to make it better. I believe if I live my life with respect and generosity, I'll be able to leave this world with a smile on my face.

I've just started my CS adventure by traveling as much as I can before I have too many responsibilities in life. But I can't wait to move out of my parents house so I can welcome travelers into my home like my hosts have done for me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything comedy and most other kinds. The only movies I don't like to watch are movies with gore or torture in them.

Music: I like most kinds of music. The only music I don't like so much is VERY heavy metal. My favorites bands are Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Wilco, Cake, Deadmau5, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, and The Raconteurs. I love rock n' roll. I used to play bass in a blues trio. I also like lots of electronic music. Deadmau5 and Daft Punk are a couple of my favorites.

My favorite series are the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. The books are way better than the movies for both.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing that I have done in my lifetime is climb up one of the tallest mountains in the Smokey mountains national park. The mountain is called clingman's dome. Although it wasn't a steep, rocky climb, it felt amazing to be hiking through mountainous terrain while making our own path through the wilderness.

My areas of knowledge aren't broad, but what I do know, I know very well. I'd be willing share my musical abilities. I can play guitar, piano, and percussion. I also make some pretty good pizza because I've worked at a pizzeria for five years now. I'm also pretty handy with a computer.
