ABOUT ME
I am 42 years old, married to Thibaut. We have one son, Gilles and two daughters: Judith and Lorraine. We live near Liege, Belgium. I speak French. My second language is Dutch, my third one English. I work as a teacher.
PHILOSOPHY
Take a look on the bright side even though I'm very realistic about our human condition.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A funny event was when my husband had forgotten that we had a couchsurfer - Richard - at home who would have to get up very early in the morning to catch his train. When Richard entered our bedroom to get to the bathroom (at the time, no other way), my husband started yelling and screaming. He was so scared for a few seconds! Even poor Richard was shaking with fear in the corner of the room!
Interests
First passion: my family.
Latest passion: recognizing trees and flowers, taking care of my garden.
Another one: taking picture with my new camera.
Cooking: I love it! My dream: organise a "table d''hôtes" at home.
I also enjoy reading: I'm currently reading Douglas Kennedy. I really like this author.

Music, Movies, and Books
Saw the movies "the constant gardener" and "shooting dogs" a long time ago. Made me think about my poor life, i.e. not being able to help a lot of people.
I really like watching movies in English and Dutch because I'm a language teacher.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a bet, sung Christmas carols on the street with a friend. Passers-by seemed to appreciate it and gave us some money! After one or two hours, my friend wanted to give all the money to some people in the need, I wanted to have a drink and give the rest of the money. We gave everything. That's the miracle of Christmas.
I went under the knife a few months ago and the French TV (France 2) asked me if I agreed to be filmed during the operation. They wanted to make a documentary on hypnosis in surgery. First of all I wondered why it had to be me (again) and then I found it exciting and just prepared myself for the extra stress of such an event. The day before the surgery, the TV cancelled it because... If you want to know why, come and ask me at home but I find that the reason I have been given is very very surprising.
