About Me

Hello fellow outsiders!! 🙋

I'm a Spanish guy living in England since 2012. I was born in the Canaries 🇮🇨 but decided to come here looking for a little bit of challenge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't stand not sharing. People commuting by car with 3/4 empty seats, hundreds of empty houses and flats with plenty of people looking for a place to spend a night.

Hotels and Bed and Breakfast (specially in London and South England) are a rip off. It is money before people most of the time. I'm against that.
So that is why I'm here, to do my utmost :)

Since October 2018 I moved to my new place and I have plenty of space to share to carry on hosting and meeting travelers.
In addition, I am enjoying more than expected the whole CS experience. Being able to have the company, to meet and sometimes connect with people from different places around the planet that otherwise I couldn't, it is such a good feeling.

Interests

I left England last July 2017 and since then I've been traveling with my campervan all across Europe 🚐 🇪🇺

I started driving to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and after that all the way to Croatia 🇭🇷 to attend to MoDem Festival.
After that I visited Hungary 🇭🇺 for two days and from there I drove to Austria 🇦🇹 for a few days (and fell in love with its landscape) and Northern Italy 🇮🇹 (crazy stuff happened here XD).
My final destination was Arco when I spend a week rockclimbing and also visited Bergamo, Verona, Portofino...
I made two stops in Switzerland 🇨🇭 and Germany 🇩🇪 to visit old friends and got back to the Netherlands 🇳🇱

Last summer 2018 I went to Fusion Festival in Germany with a lovely bunch of friends and on the way back to England I spent a week in the Netherlands.
Then I'm back in England 🇬🇧 for a "pit stop" and to sort a few things so... I can host again!

For this summer 2019 I am attending to Fusion Festival again 🇩🇪, same group of old and new friends and we will hit it again, after that I might road trip around Germany a bit and then back to the UK.

What is to come next is up to you to find out 😉

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a World Music fan. I listen and dance to almost everything and I love to explore new and unconventional music genres. I took Latin dance lessons and I love to dance to electrocumbia and tribal rhythms.
I'm planning to go to Colombia to learn to dance traditional "mapale", google it ;)
I find difficult to understand the people who settle for convencional and mainstream music genres... there is so much great music to explore and many tools to do it like Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Spotify, Youtube... that makes me a bit sad not to have enough time in a lifetime to listen every track that has been produced. :P
At the moment I'm into Afro-Latin rhythms, Lindy Hop and Psytrance but I can go from classical to salsa as my body tells me 💃

My favourite film is "La Grande Bellezza" by Paolo Sorrentino 🇮🇹

My favourite book (I recently bought an ebook and I'm getting a renewed attraction for reading) is "Travesuras de la niña mala" by the Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa 🇵🇪

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked up the last 170 metres of a 3718 metres high mountain with an ankle sprain, after it I went kayaking and barbecueing. Next morning in ER they put me a plaster for two weeks.
I'm still able to walk 😓

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to perform CPR and how to tie a figure of eight knot... among many other things 😂

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a talkative person, I can talk about anything with anyone and enjoy to engage in deep meaningful conversations and make the people laugh with it.

I work freelance so I have plenty of time off. I am open to offers 😜

I do indoor climbing, you can join me if you fancy 🚩

I also love clubbing in London everytime I had a chance. I am not a party animal but sure I enjoy good music in good company 🎉
