Music, Movies, and Books

Music, "Rock Music" in particular, is one of the most important things in my life. Always has been, since my early teens. I'm a guitar player and going to gigs is one of the things I like doing the most... I've been to a lot!! Always planing the next one. Actually, as soon as I learned that there was the possibility of relocating to Belgium, checking the Bandsintown app was probably the first thing I did...

I enjoy mainly guitar-driven (preferably distorted) music in a "rock format". I'm a "90's Kid" and my main references are, probably, from that decade.

Since that day I can describe my "musical taste evolutionary path", in short, kind of, as something like this:

FM Rock > Hard Rock > Grunge > Punk Rock/Hardcore> Alt-Indie-Lo-fi>Stoner/Doom/Sludge Metal

Add some Singer/Songwriter-Acoustic-Indie-Folk right in there, somewhere, and it pretty much sums things up.

This is, of course a summary, a generalization, for you to get a better idea... Never leaving any other previous references behind, I currently lean towards the heavier spectrum of Rock Music. You can say Metal but, think more of Black Sabbath other than Metallica or Iron Maiden...

Always looking for new discoveries and suggestions. Here are some of the bands I have been listening to, throughout the years. ( I could probably list a hundred more...)

Weezer, Pavement, Built to Spill, Dinosaur Jr., Stephen Malkmus, & The Jicks, Brand New, Alkaline Trio, Cake, Rage Against The Machine, Baroness, Beastie Boys, Black Sabbath, Conan, Converge, Today is the Day, Deftones, Electric Wizard, Eyehategod, Fu Manchu, The Get Up Kids, Tocotronic, Unsane, The xx, Turbonegro, Gorilla Biscuits, The Prodigy, Whores., Grandaddy, High On Fire, Horse The Band, Integrity, Iron & Wine, Elliott Smith, Helmet, Jeff Buckley, Interpol, Hot Water Music, Funeral For A Friend, My Own Private Alaska, Pallbearer, Neurosis, Torche, Windhand, YOB, Elder, Monolord, Down, Soundgarden, No Turning Back, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Screaming Trees, Nirvana, Blind Melon, Ben Lee, Los Hermanos, Slomatics, Refused, Seaweed, The Smashing Pumpkins, Sublime, Melvins, The Hives, Ben Folds Five, Jimmy Eat World, Audioslave, Kyuss, Queens Of The Stone Age, Mão Morta, Ornatos Violeta, Pluto, Névoa, Process of Guilt, Radiohead, Saves The Day, The Killers, The Strokes, The Shins, Blink-182, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Park, At The Drive In, The Mars Volta, Kurt Vile, Kvelertak, Lagwagon, NOFX, No USe For A Name, Milencolin, Rocky Votolato, Russian Circles, Pennywise, Mantar, The Sword, System Of A Down, Sleep, Mars Red Sky, Monster Magnet, Clutch, Corrosion Of Conformity, Say Anything, The Promise Ring, Panic!
