ABOUT ME

Daniel is laid back, wise, funny and talented. Kari is vivacious, nurturing, talkative and often dancing. We are a perfect compliment to each other. We've been married for two and a half years, and got married over Skype. Yep, Skype! Daniel was stationed overseas in the Air Force and we decided not to wait until he came home. We are both musicians, love art, musical theater, traveling and food. Daniel accepted a job in Georgia so we relocated from Missouri in the fall of 2014.

PLEASE NOTE: We are in a suburb outside of Atlanta. It is a 20 minute drive to the city the few times a day there isn't traffic. With traffic it can take up to 2.5 hours to get into or out of the city. The bus system here is terrible. There is a main bus station for Cobb County Transit about a 5/10 minute walk from here that will take you into the city our to the MARTA rail system. There is also a Greyhound fairly nearby. The Marietta Square is really cool and 2.5 miles from here. We can help with rides when available but share a car and it can sometimes be difficult. We have had a lot of requests for backpackers and want you to be aware your travel may be limited with us and a couch in the city may be better if your goal is to explore that part of Atlanta. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have a serious case of Wanderlust. We love that couch surfing helps us see the world! Yet, more importantly, we love meeting new people. When we were first dating and deciding if we should get married, one of the questions we asked each other was "What type of home do you want to have?" Both of us agreed that hospitality was extremely important to us. We absolutely love having people over and feeding them, spending time with them, laughing, and living life. When someone stays with us and says how much at home they are here, we know we have accomplished our goal!

Interests

We spend most of our time doing music, watching Netflix, eating good food, drinking good beer, wine and scotch, hiking, going to the theater and traveling as much as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

This list would be too long to get into specifics. We tend to love Indie movies the most, and Daniel has a HUGE movie collection. We love so many different kinds of music from multiple genres and decades that it depends on our mood. Though folk and classic rock have been go-tos lately! And we both love novels, sci-fi, fantasy and educational books. We had to give away a lot of books recently because we had no room for them. :)
