About Me

ABOUT ME

**I don't accept friend requests from people whom I don't know. If you want to meet up send me a proper (!) personal message!**

**A proper personal message includes for me "Hey Dani"**

**A proper request includes for me couple sentences about yourself and your journey and something that makes me interested getting to know you**

I'm currently living in Windhoek, Namibia :). About to check out the CS community here. Always interested to meet up! As soon as I'm back in Stuttgart beginning of 2023 I'm able to host you guys again.

I would say I'm an uncomplicated person who likes to laugh with others and get inspired through my whole surrounding. I love traveling, alone or with company - there are always places to see, visit, explore, enjoy! I found out about several simple ways of getting from A to B - hitchhiking and cycling are my favourits! I'm always up for an adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I guess because of the reason everyone here is on CS - to get to know local people while travelling + to get the chance to welcome others from all over the world! I also joined the CS communities in the different cities I have lived in so far - having this communities in a new city was always a blast.

For me visiting people at different places on earth is the best reason to travel - wether you know them before or not. Feeling warmly welcomed at someones home makes that place a special spot in the world and in my memories.

I'm also registered on warmshowers - a great community especially for bikers on their journey.

Interests

I like to explore the world, getting to know and understand other people, their places, their cultures, their thoughts...
also singing (I'm part of a choire), going to concerts, cycling, filming, swimming, snowboarding, reading, relaxing, maintain my friendships that are spreaded all over the world, ...
I enjoy having fun with others, cook together, I like playing games, I like to learn from others, getting inspired by their thoughts and their way of seeing the life. I tend to question my own way of living, always up for a change if suitable.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh there´s a lot..
Fink, Oasis, Eels, Bukahara, Jamie Cullum,... the list is endless. I just extended it with some awesome musicians from Kenya - Sauti Sol and JustABand. They rock, I love it!

I like lots of different music, I just have trouble enjoying it when the singer start screaming ... but I´m always open for new music and getting surprised! Live music events are definitely on my top hit list.

With movies I don't even try to start a list. I love when they catch me and my attention. When I still think about them after couple of months, then they were really good! Same with books. Even though it's some time ago that I got lost in one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One? Well, that´s kinda hard...

Water-Skiing, riding a camel in the desert, climbing on the top of mountains, or down into the Grand Canyon, sleeping in my hammock, visiting the home of hundreds of elephants and their buddys...just awesome moments I really enjoyed, with company they became even more special and memorable!

Teach, Learn, Share

Give the future the chance to surprise you!

Don't be scared of making decisions. You (mostly) regret the things you haven't done, not the things you did. (The point I myself need to get better in.)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, stories and laughter :).

To me it became kind of a tradition that I prepare a dinner for everyone in the CS-house. For me that´s a good way to say THANKS to the host(s) + it´s always perfect to get to know each other while eating. Plus I'd say I'm a good cook ;). I respect each personal way of eating habits.
